The Core

To Integrity and Beyond

February 24, 2016

We have All-Staff Meetings once a quarter. We go over organizational changes, talk about how the company is doing, and hear about the great service employees are providing day-to-day. We always try to switch it up to keep the meetings interesting, using themes and activities.

This meeting we focused on integrity. Integrity has many definitions and euphemisms, but Jim chose this definition: doing the right thing even when no one is watching. At United Solutions we work hard to provide excellent service and go home everyday proud of what we do. So as a reminder of our commitment to integrity, we created these t-shirts and gave them out to every employee to wear for the staff meeting and beyond.

A lot of exciting things are happening right now at United Solutions. We’re growing, with multiple great positions open within our company (that you should totally check out here: https://www.unitedsolutions.coop/about/careers/.) We have been hard at work getting all of our new servers ready in our state-of-the-art data center for our new core product, XP2. There have been some great updates and changes to both BoardReports.org and VendorSolutions.org. Our check21 product has been updated and we have a new product called OnCore Forms that we will be launching shortly.

In celebration of our growth and commitment to integrity, we had our first Cupcake Wars! Five employees brought in their scrumptious creations to be judged on five categories: Creativity, Appearance, Taste/Texture of icing, Taste/Texture of cake, and an Overall score. The stiff competition included Chocolate Covered Strawberry, Oreo Overload, Sunday Funday, Bourbon Pecan, and Peanut Butter and Jelly.

Our judges had a difficult (if you call tasting cupcakes difficult) decision to make, but gave the Oreo Overload cupcake the highest scores! Jaime, the creator of the Oreo Overload cupcake, received a twenty-five-dollar gift card. Everyone enjoyed having a sweet treat at our All-Staff Meeting - we may just make Cupcake Wars an annual event!

The All-Staff Meetings always close with what we call “Roses Letters.” The Roses Letters are basically the comments we get from our raving fans and Jim saves them to show the company all the great things our clients (or even a fellow employee) say about us. It’s always great to be reminded of how our hard work really pays off.
