Session Recap: OnCore Suite 2.0 with Mike Baxter & Derek Barker

July 14, 2026

If you missed Mike Baxter and Derek Barker's session at the XP2 Educational Conference, here's the recap — a first look at OnCore Suite 2.0, and why United Solutions rebuilt its CRM from the ground up.

XP2 Educational Conference 2026  |  Friday, June 26

Mike Baxter opened with a familiar scenario: a member calls in with an account issue and mentions her son might need an auto loan soon. The rep handles the account issue, jots a note somewhere, and the loan lead lives in a sticky note, an email, or nowhere at all. That's the problem OnCore Suite 1.0 — built years ago on FileMaker — set out to solve, and the problem OnCore Suite 2.0 is built to solve better. The concept hasn't changed; the foundation has. The new version runs on FinTech OS, a cloud platform that opens the door to AI integration, data connectors, and a single web link instead of an application pushed to every RDS server.

"Visibility changes the conversation from 'who has this?' to 'here's what's needed.'"

Derek Barker ran the live demo, starting from the new overview screen: KPIs across activities, interactions, and opportunities, color-coded by urgency (red for overdue, yellow for due soon, gray for everything else), with export to Excel for board or department reporting. Pulling up a member number surfaces a live, real-time connection back to XP2 — balances, loans, cards, and custom fields — without leaving the platform. He also demoed one-time passcode verification pulled straight from a member's phone number on file, and the campaign builder, which can trigger automated onboarding emails, birthday and membership-anniversary messages, or a one-time send, complete with a cost preview before anything goes out.

The room's questions made clear how much is still in motion. Right now OnCore Suite 2.0 can import contacts from XP2 but can't yet write updates back; that two-way sync, along with automated triggers for things like compliance thresholds or address-change alerts, is on the roadmap. Jim Giacobbe noted the team is targeting a live rollout in the next 30 to 60 days, with FinTech OS contracted to keep building through the end of 2026.

From the Q&A

Questions attendees asked live
  • Is the member data pulled in real time? Yes — it's a live connection back to XP2, not a stale export.
  • Can it write changes back to XP2 contacts? Not yet — currently import-only, with two-way sync planned via the Apex interface.
  • Can it trigger automatically off XP2 events, like a large transaction? Not today, but the new architecture is built to support real-time triggers going forward.
